J.J Thomson's plum pudding model

After the discovery of protons(+), electrons(-), scientists started to make models of atom.

J.J Thomson also made a model of an atom. It was known as plum pudding model.

Postulates:



1.Atom is electrically neutral by composing positively and negatively charged particle

2. He said that negatively charged particles are scattered in the positively charged sphere, like plums scattered in plum pudding.

Later this model was rejected.
